As a lifelong Alaskan, I have decades of experience doing business in our state. I am devoted to our community, and my growing family and am passionate about ensuring Alaska is a state where both businesses and families can thrive.

I have owned and operated several businesses including Contract Services - For Family Partnership Charter School, Raven Berry – an outfit I built and ran in the fitness center on JBER, The Henslee Group, managing Real Estate Investment and Vacation Properties, and most recently AK Gold Homes as a Real Estate Agent with Realty ONE Group Aurora.

As the former director of transitional housing and program director for Priceless Alaska, I worked as an advocate for women rescued from sex trafficking. Working alongside law enforcement, we helped to ensure their well-being in a place where they felt protected and safe.

From 2011-2012 I worked in Thailand with women and teenagers with babies rescued from sex trafficking.

I am a Commissioner on The HHAND Commission (Homelessness, housing, and neighborhood development.)

My husband, Steve, proudly served our country for 35 years. As a full-time Army National Guard Pilot, he was often on deployment overseas. While he was doing his job to keep protect our country – it was then my job to keep our children safe and cared for while he was away.   

I am committed to being a pro-active, engaging, and successful contributing member of our community and society as a whole. That means not only ensuring I am able to care of my family - but actively working to help others to have those same opportunities as well.
